By using AskOwlo Stories, you agree to these terms. We've written them in plain language — no legalese.
1. Who we are
AskOwlo Stories is an educational audio story platform operated by AskOwlo BV, a company registered in the Netherlands (KvK: 97409618). The platform lets parents and children listen to AI-generated educational stories featuring Owlo (an owl) and Koko (a fox).
The service is available at askowlo.com and related subdomains.

3. What you can do
With a free account you can:
- Listen to any published story in our library
- Create custom educational stories using our AI story generator
- Save your generated stories and listen to them anytime
- Submit your stories for review to be published in our public library
- Create stories in English and Dutch
4. What you cannot do
- Create, submit, or publish stories containing harmful, offensive, violent, sexual, or discriminatory content
- Attempt to circumvent or abuse our AI generation systems
- Use the platform for commercial purposes without our written permission
- Share account credentials or allow unauthorized access to your account
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute our content without explicit permission
5. Content & intellectual property
Our characters & brand
Owlo, Koko, and all AskOwlo brand elements, artwork, and audio are exclusively owned by AskOwlo BV. You may not reproduce, copy, modify, or commercialize them without our prior written permission.
All generated content belongs to AskOwlo BV
All content generated through AskOwlo Stories — including but not limited to story topics, story titles, scripts, dialogue, audio recordings, character voices, sound effects, images, and any derivative works — is the exclusive property of AskOwlo BV. By submitting a topic or question through our platform, you irrevocably assign to AskOwlo BV all rights, title, and interest in and to the resulting generated content. No rights are retained by the user. You may listen to and use stories for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
No disputes
By using the platform, you acknowledge and agree that you have no claim of ownership, co-ownership, or any intellectual property rights over any content generated by or published on AskOwlo Stories. This applies to all content generated in any language, for any age range, and regardless of the topic submitted.
Published stories
Once a story is published to the public library, it becomes part of the AskOwlo platform and may be featured, promoted, translated, or adapted by AskOwlo BV at its discretion. Published stories cannot be deleted by the creator; only AskOwlo administrators may remove published content.
6. Account & termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. When you delete your account, your personal data and private stories are permanently removed.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.
7. Disclaimers & liability
AskOwlo Stories uses AI to generate educational content. While we apply quality review processes, we cannot guarantee that every generated story is 100% accurate or free of errors. Always review AI-generated content before sharing with children.
The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AskOwlo BV is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes by email or a notice on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, Netherlands.
